Canal Street

Hello, this is hepi.

I've just come back from clubbing.  I'm very sleepy now...but well, we shouldn't stay inside on Friday night!

Canal Street is a gay street in Manchester. There are many exciting clubs, pubs and bars especially for gay people.

To be honest I don't like clubbing so much, but sometimes feel like drinking and dancing without thinking anything.

I went there with some friends from my English class. It's always nice to go out with guys from various countries :)

Although I didn't get drunk just with 3 cans of pear cider, I really enjoyed the night out with my lovely classmates!

Probably we won't see eachother for good because we're all going back to our home countries... but I really can't believe that!

Still I feel I'll see them in the class on Friday morning, as usual.

I've just remembered an old Japanese saying

"Treasure every encounter, for it will never recur"

I'll enjoy the rest of my time in Manchester, as much as I can!

Gooood night. Thanks :) x

The First Day

Hello, this is hepi.

I finally started a blog!!  :D

I want to write as often as possible to improve my English skills.

but I'm not sure what I'm going to write about...

I love all kinds of foods and drinks, so there will be plenty of diaries related to them.

I also love cats, although I've never had one. I'll upload some cute cats' videos :)

by the way, I'm an exchange student studying at Manchester from September.

I'm going back to Osaka in Japan on the 7th of July. so I've got only a month to stay here.

I've really enjoyed staying in Manchester and visiting other cities in UK so far.

Of course I had many difficult times, I've got so many friends and now I can say Manchester is my second home town.

I really want to enjoy the rest of my stay in UK! !

Today I went to curry mile with my friend from Malasia.

That's one of the most exciting areas in Manchester where loads of Indian and Pakistan curry restaurants are lined along the street!

We had hot curry and yogult drinks at a posh restaurant.  I was crying and sweating because of the chill... but it was absolutely delicious!!

We chatted a lot while having a nice meal.   I was quite surprised to hear that almost all the Muslims in Malaysia don't drink alcohol... :o

well yeah, i know that we can have happy lives without alcohol. yet, to be honest,  I can't imagine a life without it... :)

Anyway, we really had a good time!! I wanna see her soon again.

Feel free to comment on this blog.  Thanks :) x
